Economic System
The Mayan Economic SystemThe Maya civilization consists a lot of farmers. Depending on the landscape and how the terrain there was, they had to grow their crops differently. Such as digging a cliff in the side of a mountain to let water get to the crops, or raising their crop beds so they don't flood. The Maya's main food supply was maize, squash, and beans; which they grew. They also grew cotton which was made into beautiful fabric clothes. The Mayan would trade with close cities and states, and sometimes neighboring civilizations.
